The Many Uses of CAS: More than Just Program Reviews

The Many Uses of CAS: More than Just Program Reviews

Tuesday, April 30, 2024 (1:00 PM - 2:00 PM) (EDT)

Description

Webinar Description:
Many of us learned about the Council for the Advancement of Standards during graduate programs - but how exactly can you use the CAS to better programs and services? This session, delivered by an Advisory Board member, will show how the CAS can be used for more than just program reviews. We will also introduce what is new and what is coming soon from the CAS. If you are the person who does assessment (or you love assessment, you want to explore new ways to do your work, or you are looking for ways to justify or improve your budget), this might be the session for you. No prior knowledge of CAS is needed to attend. Open to all staff levels.

Presenter Information:

Dr. Anne Newman (She/Her) Rutgers University-New Brunswick
Anne serves as the CAS Advisory Board member representing ASCA. In her daytime job, Newman oversees areas focusing on advocacy and student life in the Division of Student Affairs at Rutgers–New Brunswick. Anne also serves as an affiliate faculty member in the Rutgers Graduate School of Education. She previously worked in student conduct and residence life administration. Anne holds a bachelor’s degree in human resource and finance from Adelphi University, a master’s degree in higher education administration from Florida State University, and a Ph.D. in higher education administration from Illinois State University.
