Position Description
General Notes:
Dean of Students staff serve students through programs, events, resources, and services built around student support, student involvement, and student conduct. Our services also include Student Governance Organizations. Dean of Students is one of eight departments in the Division of Student Affairs.
Purpose:
Works with Student Conduct and Academic Integrity team to adjudicate potential violations of university policy and to educate the campus community through prevention efforts pertaining to conduct and aca‐demic integrity. The position engages in extensive campus outreach, training, and collaboration with faculty, staff and students.
Position Requirements
- Investigates and adjudicates alleged violations of University policy, involving individual students and student organizations, including cases that are high profile, complex and urgent. Assists with content development for educational programming and sanction/outcomes development.
- Meet with students, faculty, legal affairs, campus colleagues, community members and others, as appropriate, for consultation, education, and problem solving. Serve as a resource on student conduct matters at the institution.
- Develop and implement educational presentations and programs to inform students and other campus stakeholders on ways to uphold personal and academic integrity. Assist with the selection and training of the Student Conduct Board members.
- Participates in regular data analytics review to guide assessment efforts, case management, programmatic development, and campus stakeholder engagement.
- Maintains up to date knowledge of Title IX, CLERY, Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), as well as other federal and state regulatory changes and other duties as assigned.
- Utilize technology and web-based platforms for Student Conduct and Academic Integrity unit for case management and communication efforts.
Salary Information: $62,100.00
