Position Description

The Office of Student Conduct (OSC) strives to create and maintain a campus environment conducive to students' academic success, personal growth, safety and well-being. OSC is seeking applicants who have knowledge of conducting trauma-informed investigations into allegations of sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence and stalking.

This position will be responsible for investigating cases of student misconduct, with a focus on cases involving allegations of sexual misconduct and intimate partner violence. The successful candidate will have an understanding of Title IX policy and processes, with an understanding of relevant SUNY policies, state and federal laws and mandates. This position will require the ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and critical thinking. This position works in collaboration with conduct board members, Fraternity and Sorority Life, the Dean of Students CARE Team, Residential Life, University Police and Title IX Office. Additionally, the successful candidate will oversee annual case review and analysis of sexual misconduct related cases.  

Position Requirements

Bachelor's degree (or higher);

At least 2 years of experience working in compliance with laws, regulations, and guidelines related to sexual misconduct;

Effective organizational, analytical, and written communication skills;

Well-developed investigative skills, including the ability to conduct thorough interviews and maintain objectivity and impartiality;

Critical thinking skills including policy analysis and interpretation;

Ability to maintain and complete tasks in a timely manner

Salary Information

 $70,000 - $76,000
