Position Description
Engage in educational and accountability measures with students regarding University policy, alcohol and drug education, and student conflict assistance.
- Serve as student conduct hearing officer, hearing, and resolving cases of alleged violations of the Student Conduct Code; Review and assign incident reports to appropriate hearing officers within student conduct team.
- Work closely with members of Alcohol and Drug Awareness and Prevention Team (ADAPT) to develop, deploy, and assess alcohol and other drug education programs on campus including but not limited to bystander intervention training, Prime For Life substance abuse intervention, educational sanctioning, rewards programs, and effective engagement campaigns.
- Collaborate with Assistant Director for Student Conduct and Dean of Students to meet all compliance requirements for the Clery Act and AOD Biennial report.
- Attend weekly Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT) meetings, keep notes and track information regarding students identified for BIT intervention, and follow up as needed on intervention approaches.
- Manage data within student conduct tracking software; track completion of mandatory student trainings related to alcohol education, bystander intervention, and other topics and manage appropriate student record holds based on student conduct compliance.
- Facilitate training for Student Conduct Hearing Officers on student conduct philosophy, process, and procedure.
- Facilitate Choices About Responsible Drinking (CARD) or similar training for students as educational condition and/or personal development.
- Provide relevant information about Student Conduct and Alcohol and Other Drugs to campus partners.
- Coordinate, in Student Affairs Division partnership, online student support resources app for students.
Position Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree by first date of employment.
- At least one year of experience in full-time work setting, relevant to job responsibilities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in Counseling, School Counseling, Guidance and Counseling, Chemical Dependency Counseling, Education, Higher Education or similar.
- Working knowledge of best practices in the fields of student conduct and/or behavioral intervention.
Salary Information:
The minimum starting salary is $45,735. Starting salary is contingent upon successful candidate’s education and/or experience.
