This engaging and informative program will explore innovative marketing approaches explicitly tailored for student conduct offices. Our goal is to empower student conduct professionals to engage with their communities, educate them about their rights, responsibilities, and resources, and ultimately, create a more respectful and accountable campus environment.
This session will focus on communication with students, the creation of community partnerships, crafting student-centered initiatives, and the evaluation of marketing strategies.
Presenter Bios
Liz Thornton (She/Her/Hers) is currently serving as the Assistant Director of Student Engagement at Wichita State University. With a two-year Student Conduct Professional background, Liz has demonstrated her commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive campus environment. This year, she proudly serves as the Region 4 Co-Chair, showcasing her dedication to student engagement and advocacy on a broader scale. Liz holds a bachelor's degree in arts administration with a minor in marketing from McPherson College and a master's degree in higher education from Purdue University. Beyond her professional pursuits, Liz enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle, frequenting the gym, and embarking on walks with her partner and beloved dog, Luna.
Grace Henderson (She/Her/Hers) is currently the Residence Life Coordinator at Wichita State University. She began her journey at the institution as the Graduate Coordinator in the Student Conduct and Community Standards office, and has around 5 years experience in Student Conduct work at a community college. With a bachelor's degree in Secondary English Education from the University of Wyoming, Grace is currently pursuing a master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Wichita State University. In addition to her professional life, Grace loves living in Kansas, but visits Wyoming often.
