Public Policy & Legislative Issues (PPLI) Committee Meeting

Tuesday, June 17, 2025 (2:00 PM - 3:00 PM) (EDT)

Description

The Public Policy & Legislative Issues Committee identifies state and federal legislation affecting the administration of student conduct. These meetings are open to ASCA members not currently affiliated with PPLI. We will discuss current issues of state and federal law, check in with regions regarding legislation tracking, and conduct Legislative Chats periodically to address member submission of impactful legislation on student conduct work.

Please note for the June 17th Meeting: The first session of the Summer School Series webinar: Practical strategies for tracking legislation and case law, is being presented FREE OF CHARGE during the June meeting of the ASCA Public Policy Legislative Issues (PPLI) Committee. It is critical for student conduct administrators of all levels to be able to track and remain vigilant of legislation and case law decisions. This task can seem overwhelming. Come learn how to properly and effectively manage this important component of student conduct work from experienced conduct professionals who have been tracking legislation and case law for decades.
