Part of our Conference Highlights Series! Colleges struggle to find balance between protecting free speech and making students feel welcome on campus. Get it wrong and there can also be legal consequences for your institution. Rutgers University-New Brunswick revised its conduct, bias response and outreach processes to try to address incidents on campus and comply with Title VI guidelines without chilling the right to free speech. Presenters will share what we learned, what our new process includes, and recommendations for implementation. Participants are encouraged to share their initiatives.
