The Community Colleges Community of Practice considers issues and concerns unique to the Community College Student Affairs professionals and makes recommendations to the Board of Directors on ways the Association may provide responses and address such issues.
A short presentation on the topic of restorative practices. Our presenter Léna Crain, Ph.D., serves as Dean of Students at Baldwin Wallace University. She is a frequent trainer and speaker on alternative resolution, conflict resolution skill building, cultural dimensions of conflict, and planning and assessment. She has served on the ASCA Board of Directors and the Donald D. Gehring Academy as a Faculty Fellow, Faculty, Track Coordinator, and 2025 Gehring Academy Chair. In her broader career in higher education, Dr. Crain has been recognized as an ACPA Diamond Honoree and Annuit Coeptis Scholar. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Maryland.
